other aspects of system which Everyone should note

(Please include details of any agreements involving bidding on significantly less than traditional values).

Everything is natural unless otherwise stated.  Use “exotic” features like

McKenney and “unusual” 2NT at your peril - ie. best avoided unless you

are sure partner will understand.  Defence to 1NT is Landy - ie. 2§ to

show the majors.  Other bids natural.

Other agreements concerning doubles and redoubles

After suit opener on your left and 1NT on your right, double is for takeout.

After any penalty double by our side, or a redouble by our side, all subsequent doubles are for penalties

Double of any conventional bid is lead directing.

other conventions

1.      Rule of 20 for light openers (pts + no. of cards in 2 longest suits >= 20 to open).

2.      With 4-4-4-1, open middle of consecutive suits or the suit below the singleton if not consecutive.

3.      Generally open your best/longest suit.  5/5 open the higher ranking.  4/4 use your imagination ;)

Fourth suit forcing (at any level, including in the sequence 1/1/1/1)

SUPPLEMENTARY DETAILS

(Please cross-reference where appropriate to the relevant part of card, and continue on back if needed).

McKenney is where a low card sends a hint to partner that you would like a low ranking suit led.  A high

card hints that a high ranking suit would be welcomed.

OPENING LEADS

For all the card combinations shown, clearly mark the card normally led if different from the underlined card.
